Disability Case Management and Return to Work Planning can be difficult and filled with obstacles. This session is designed to give you practical tools and tips that will help you navigate through the complexities of employee return to work. It will discuss moving away from the medical model and the dreaded doctor's note to an abilities model.
In this session, participants will learn:
- How to identify the benefits of Stay at Work/Return to Work Programs
- To understand the components of Stay at Work/Return to Work
- How communication is paramount and timing is of the essence
- How Stay at Work/Return to Work keeps people engaged, can have a positive effect on all involved and save money
- How to build a modified duty list for any occupation

Kymm Ducharme, WorksafeBC. Kymm has worked in the field of Injury Management for over 20 years, and she has a BSW from UVIC and an MBA from Royal Roads. She is passionate about the benefits of recovering at work and has worked with numerous employers, industries, and workers within BC to assist them to implement practices and procedures founded in the evidence based abilities model.

Every person attending this webinar must be registered (and paid for) individually.

If the other person is a member, they must log in using their own member ID and password and register that way. The registration deadline is 12:00 noon on Friday, November 3, 2017. Please note that registrations are not possible after online registration has closed.
Important note: Both registration and payment are required for every person attending this webinar.

Payment is due within 30 days of registration or by the registration deadline of November 3, 2017 (whichever is earlier). Payments may be made conveniently online by Visa/Mastercard at the time of registration or by cheque received by the registration deadline. Cheques must be received within 30 days of registration or by November 3rd (whichever is earlier) by CPHR Nova Scotia at 84 Chain Lake Drive, Suite 103, Halifax, NS B3S 1A2. Registrations October 20th or later must be paid by Visa/MC at time of registration.
If paying online by Visa or Mastercard, you must have the billing address exactly as it appears on the credit card statement or the transaction will be declined. This is a security feature for your protection.
A full refund, less a $40+HST processing fee, will be issued for cancellations received in writing prior to Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 12:00 noon. Those who make reservations and do not attend will still be required to pay for the full session fee. Cancellations received by CPHR Nova Scotia in writing prior to noon on October 26th will only be charged the processing fee. Substitutions are permitted if received by November 4th (for substitutions, the registrant must advise our office of their replacement in writing by 12:00 noon on November 4th, including the full name, email and phone number of the substitution). Member/non-member rates will be applied to the substitutions. This cancellation policy applies regardless of date of registration. Registrations after the cancellation deadline are non-refundable.
