We have all heard the hype about AI (Artificial Intelligence) and that it professes to do a great deal of work for HR teams. For those of you in the area of talent acquisition, what does this mean for your recruitment and how does it impact Applicant Tracking Systems. This session will provide an overview of what Artificial Intelligence is doing for recruitment and how it will impact your HR team in the years to come.
In this session, participants will learn:
- To understand how AI is defined for Applicant Tracking.
- To know what this tool does in the background of recruitment systems.
- To understand how it will impact ATS systems and save time for users.
- To understand what future tools are being developed and show they impact ATS systems.

Marilyn Kalman is the President and Executive Manager at HireGround Software Solutions. In addition to working for private and public companies, she has been the Managing Director and major shareholder of a diverse range of businesses over the last twenty years. Marilynn holds an MBA from the University of Calgary. She has been at the helm of HireGround Software for 18 years, developing innovative and effective HR software solutions such as the StartDate Applicant Tracking System (www.StartDate.ca). She works closely and tirelessly with many local and national associations in order to determine best practices for software and support materials developed by the firm. Some of the groups that have been supportive in development of HireGrounds Software (www.HireGroundsSoftware.com) have been the University of Alberta, University of Calgary, University of Regina, Alberta Innovates Centre for Machine Learning, as well as the National Research Council and NSERC.

Payments may be made conveniently online by Visa/Mastercard at the time of registration or by cheque received by the registration deadline. Cheques must be received within 30 days of registration or by September 27 (whichever is earlier) by CPHR Nova Scotia at 84 Chain Lake Drive, Suite 103, Halifax, NS B3S 1A2. Registrations September 10 or later must be paid by Visa/MC at time of registration.
If paying online by Visa or Mastercard, you must have the billing address exactly as it appears on the credit card statement or the transaction will be declined. This is a security feature for your protection.
A full refund, less a $40+HST processing fee, will be issued for cancellations received in writing by September 14 at 12:00 noon. Those who make reservations and do not attend will still be required to pay for the full session fee. Cancellations received by CPHR Nova Scotia in writing by 12 noon on September 14, 2018 will only be charged the processing fee. Substitutions are permitted if received by September 27th at 12:00 noon (for substitutions, the registrant must advise our office of their replacement in writing by 12 noon on September 27th including the full name, email and phone number of the substitution). Member/non-member rates will be applied to the substitutions. This cancellation policy applies regardless of date of registration. Registrations after the cancellation deadline are non-refundable.
