Introducing the National Standard and the Game Changing Factors for You and Your Organization
Employer responsibilities are being redefined as the health, legal and business case continues to build for an organization’s duty to protect, promote and accommodate not just the physical safety, but the psychological health and safety needs of employees. A supportive work environment can reduce the onset, severity, impact and duration of mental distress and illness. Employers, leaders and teams all play a role with doing the right thing.
In this session, you will develop your awareness of The National Standard, as well as the 13 Psychosocial Factors, which are relevant to employees and organizations, large or small, in the public, private and non-profit sectors. Gain knowledge and learn about resources to be able to take proactive and progressive actions to improve the psychological health and safety of your workplace.

Randy Kennett, Hone Consulting, has over 20 years of experience as an international facilitator, trainer, consultant and coach in leadership and team development. He works with individuals and teams, with positions ranging from entry level to CEOs, specializing in psychological health and safety, respectful workplaces, conflict resolution, communication, emotional intelligence, personality styles and teamwork.
With career experience and credentials in adult education, human resources and business, Randy has trained and coached in North America and internationally, which has included working with the private, public and nonprofit sectors. Randy’s work involves proven and comprehensive teamwork and leadership development solutions, supporting healthy working relationships and positive workplaces.
As a Principal of Hone Consulting, he is a certified facilitator of several acclaimed courses, a registered coach and a post-secondary instructor.

The registration deadline is 12 noon on Thursday, September 12, 2019. Please note that registrations are not possible after online registration has closed.

Payment is due within 30 days of registration or by the registration deadline of September 12, 2019 (whichever is earlier). Payments may be made conveniently online by Visa/Mastercard at the time of registration or by cheque received by the registration deadline. Cheques must be received within 30 days of registration or by Sept 12 (whichever is earlier) by CPHR Nova Scotia at 84 Chain Lake Drive, Suite 103, Halifax, NS B3S 1A2. Registrations August 22 or later must be paid by Visa/MC at time of registration.
If paying online by Visa or Mastercard, you must have the billing address exactly as it appears on the credit card statement or the transaction will be declined. This is a security feature for your protection.
A full refund, less a $40+HST processing fee, will be issued for cancellations received in writing by August 22 at 12:00 noon. Those who make reservations and do not attend will still be required to pay for the full session fee. Cancellations received by CPHR Nova Scotia in writing by 12 noon on August 22, 2019 will only be charged the processing fee. Substitutions are permitted if received by September 13 at 12:00 noon (for substitutions, the registrant must advise our office of their replacement in writing by 12 noon on September 13 including the full name, email and phone number of the substitution). Member/non-member rates will be applied to the substitutions. This cancellation policy applies regardless of date of registration. Registrations after the cancellation deadline are non-refundable.
