Technology affects all aspects of modern life, both at work and at a home. In 2017, just over 1/5 of Canadian businesses are impacted by a cybersecurity incident and spent over $14B on cybersecurity. Cybersecurity risks can impact our workplaces and have a significant personal impact on our lives. This session is focused on understanding today's most common cyber security risks and how you can protect yourself at work and at home.

Facilitator
Nav Bassi, CPHR, is the Director of Academic & Administrative Services for the University Systems at the University of Victoria. He is responsible for institutional leadership, staff leadership, technology stewardship, and accountable for instructional technology, technology support for faculty, staff, and students, and the university's cybersecurity program. Nav teaches how to manage in the digital economy in the UVic Division of Continuing Studies and has taught information systems for the Gustavson MBA Program.
Nav holds a BSc in computer science and an MBA (Service Management) from UVic, as well as a Master's Certificate in project management and the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential, and is also a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR). Nav was previously an elected member of the University of Victoria Board of Governors and Senate, and a Presidential Appointee to the University of Human Rights Committee.
Nav's passion is helping people successfully apply technology to further their goals.

Every person attending this webinar must be registered (and paid for) individually.

The registration deadline is 12 noon on Thursday, March 7, 2019. Please note that registrations are not possible after online registration has closed.

Payment Terms
Payment is due within 30 days of registration or by the registration deadline of March 7, 2019 (whichever is earlier). Payments may be made conveniently online by Visa/Mastercard at the time of registration or by cheque received by the registration deadline. Cheques must be received within 30 days of registration or by March 7 (whichever is earlier) by CPHR Nova Scotia at 84 Chain Lake Drive, Suite 103, Halifax, NS B3S 1A2. Registrations February 21 or later must be paid by Visa/MC at time of registration.
If paying online by Visa or Mastercard, you must have the billing address exactly as it appears on the credit card statement or the transaction will be declined. This is a security feature for your protection.
Cancellation Policy
A full refund, less a $40+HST processing fee, will be issued for cancellations received in writing by February 26 at 12:00 noon. Those who make reservations and do not attend will still be required to pay for the full session fee. Cancellations received by CPHR Nova Scotia in writing by 12 noon on March 8, 2019 will only be charged the processing fee. Substitutions are permitted if received by February 22 at 12:00 noon (for substitutions, the registrant must advise our office of their replacement in writing by 12 noon on March 8 including the full name, email and phone number of the substitution). Member/non-member rates will be applied to the substitutions. This cancellation policy applies regardless of date of registration. Registrations after the cancellation deadline are non-refundable.
