CPHR Retired

retired designation

A CPHR Nova Scotia Retired member is a CPHR who has fully retired from human resources practice and no longer actively uses her/his designation for work purposes.

Members requesting retired status must meet all of the following requirements:

  1. Working hours not exceeding 20 hours per week on average in HR Capacity.
  2. Held the CPHR designation for at least five continuous years immediately prior to retirement.

Retired members must pay annual membership dues but are not required to submit a CPD Log. They must only represent themselves as “CPHR Retired”.

Members granted Retired status are eligible to vote at the CPHR Nova Scotia Annual General Meeting.

A retired member who re-enters the workforce is required to apply for a change in membership status to “Chartered”. Any required updating of professional development will be determined at the time of the request, and the member will be required to pay prorated chartered member dues for the current year. Full dues will be applicable in the subsequent year.

The fees for retired membership is $50 per year or a lifetime membership for $497.
