Employer Breakfast Speaker Series 2019
Cannabis and the Workplace
8:30-10:30am Nadine will facilitate an interactive session by summarizing current trends, methods of addressing it and realities of Cannabis in the workplace. We will work with participants to identify essential components of an effective strategy to manage the impacts in the workplace. Best practices will be shared in this area of health and safety that is growing and expanding workplace reality. This session includes the most recent updates on this topic.
Part B- Drafting a policy 10:30am to 12pm Nadine with work with the group to develop a basic cannabis workplace policy.
Speaker: Nadine Wentzell is a pharmacist who works as a Drug and Alcohol Consultant, who is committed to helping employers deal with the impacts of substance abuse in the workplace. She has over 25 years’ experience working with unionized and nonunionized organizations. She is a frequently requested speaker and has presented many talks, workshops and keynotes at conferences across Canada and internationally as a Narcotic Inspector with Health Canada.
