What does it mean to lead with heart and what does the science say about leading with heart? Join Jill and David Cory from Emotional Intelligence Training Company Inc as they discuss the creation of EITC’s newest course The Heart and Science of Leadership. They will talk about why the course was created, how the course is based on research and evidence-based practice. And finally, why this course has the potential to improve leadership and change lives. 

In this presentation, you will:

  • Learn a model of transformational leadership and the connection with heart
  • Learn about the science of leadership
  • Take away suggestions for improving your own leadership skills

Facilitators
David Cory, M.A. is a leadership development specialist known for his expertise in applying the concept of emotional intelligence to leadership development for individual and organizational performance improvement. David founded his company in 1998 and has worked with leaders in progressive organizations all over the world. 

 

Jill Cory, B.A., is an author and experienced trainer and group facilitator who has taught courses and facilitated workshops for the past 25 years. A focus of Jill’s work has been on developing safe and equitable workplaces in healthcare and not-for-profit sectors.  Jill is the co-author of When Love Hurts, A Woman’s Guide to Abuse in Relationships, published by Penguin Random House. She has also published many other reports and policy documents including Making Connections Facilitator Guide and the SHE Framework: Safety and Health Enhancement for Women Experiencing Abuse, A Toolkit for Heath Care Providers and Planners.

How to Register

Every person attending this webinar must be registered (and paid for) individually.

IMPORTANT: Registering someone other than yourself? If you are a member and are registering someone else to attend the event, DO NOT log into the site to register. If the other person is a member, they must log in using their own member ID and password and register that way. If the other person is not a member, do not log in, just register them from the public area of the website. Registrations must be done online.

The registration deadline is Thursday, June 20, 2019.  Please note that registrations are not possible after online registration has closed.

Payment Terms

Payment is due within 30 days of registration or by the registration deadline of June 20, 2019 (whichever is earlier). Payments may be made conveniently online by Visa/Mastercard at the time of registration or by cheque received by the registration deadline. Cheques must be received within 30 days of registration or by June 20 (whichever is earlier) by CPHR Nova Scotia at 84 Chain Lake Drive, Suite 103, Halifax, NS B3S 1A2. Registrations May 31 or later must be paid by Visa/MC at time of registration.

If paying online by Visa or Mastercard, you must have the billing address exactly as it appears on the credit card statement or the transaction will be declined. This is a security feature for your protection.

 

Cancellation Policy

This event is non-refundable. Members who register must advise us if their availability changes such that we can advise our partner in the event it frees up a space.

Those who make reservations and do not attend will still be required to pay for the full session fee. Cancellations received by CPHR Nova Scotia in writing by 12 noon on May 31, 2019 will only be charged the processing fee. Substitutions are permitted if received by June 21 at 12:00 noon (for substitutions, the registrant must advise our office of their replacement in writing by 12 noon on June 21 including the full name, email and phone number of the substitution). Member/non-member rates will be applied to the substitutions. This cancellation policy applies regardless of date of registration. Registrations after the cancellation deadline are non-refundable.
