CPHR CPD hours: 1.0
The labour market has shifted significantly over the last decade, pushing Canada’s workforce growth to near zero. This coupled with the rise of social media and a meteoric gig economy has created candidates with a wide degree of individual choice.
So, what do you do when "You don’t select the talent – the talent picks you."
You attend an HR management webinar – and see first-hand the brand building and recruitment strategies and tactics adopted by today's top tier Canadian employers.
With over 40,000 Canadian clients, Jennifer will share data exclusive to ADP - unavailable anywhere else. Participate in the conversation, compare the data to yours and your colleague's work-place reality, and leave with practical HR solutions you can implement today.
The key ingredients for continued industry success are in place. If you’re planning how your company can adapt and leverage the needs of the future workforce – then this is the session for you.
In this presentation, you will:
- Learn how to amplify their brand as a destination employer
- Identify the social media channels where candidates are active
- Learn the biggest mistakes when it comes to employee retention; and
- Return to the office with the beginnings of a business case to achieve best-in-class recruitment, engagement and retention
Jennifer MacKay, Director of Client Service, ADP Canada
Whether it's a colleague or one of her many happy clients, all can agree that Jennifer MacKay has a "knack" for leading people. Responsible for managing ADP Canada's Small Business clients and their HR needs, Jennifer has remained steadfast in fulfilling a well-focused mantra: to find and nurture talent through their development into well-rounded, confident and agile experts.
With a background in telecommunications, logistics and third-party outsourcing, Ms. Mackay’s work has taken her across Canada and abroad, including two years living in the Caribbean. About to complete a certification in Human Resources Management, Jennifer's academic achievements include an BA in Anthropology from York University.
Hailing originally from Toronto, Jennifer now calls Halifax home with her husband and precocious puppy "Fenway". While she considers herself a big Boston sports fan, Jennifer will always hold a candle in hopes for her hometown Leafs to one day win the Stanley Cup!
