Let’s face it, conflict is all around us. It impacts many workplaces and labour-management relationships negatively when it is not managed effectively. This three-hour workshop explores the definition of conflict, its causes, and the potential costs and benefits associated with it. You will identify your individual conflict management style and explore tools for managing and resolving conflict.

About the Facilitator
Lindsey Hewitt, Relationship Education and Awareness Officer
CMS hired Lindsey Hewitt for their newly created Relationship, Education, and Awareness Officer position in 2016. In this role, she focuses on increasing awareness of CMS, developing and facilitating workshops, and mediating workplace conflicts and grievances. Prior to joining CMS, Lindsey owned her own consulting company in St. John’s, NL, completing work in the oil and gas, agriculture, and not-for-profit sectors, in areas such as facilitation, project management, evaluation, and event planning. She has an MBA, a BBA, a Teaching Certificate, a Certificate in Economic Development, and a Certificate in Conflict Resolution.
When she is not working, Lindsey can be found hiking, biking, paddling, or cross-country skiing, often with her dogs Lola and Ollie in tow.
