CPHR CPD: 1.0
Session Topic
The Canadian Government, in its publication Restoring the Workplace Following A Harassment Complaint: A Manager’s Guide defines “restoring the workplace” as “the establishment or re-establishment of harmonious working relationships among individuals within the team, group or unit” after a disruptive event, like the formal submission of a harassment complaint. Disruptive events are not limited to harassment complaints. Changes in leadership, uncertainty over the future of an organization (like many teams are experiencing in the wake of COVID), stress from overwork and conflict are all disruptive events. These events get in the way of teams working together like teams. Disruption affects morale, individual well-being and productivity The Prosocial approach to workplace restoration is based on research and behavioural science of what works to get individuals, within teams and groups, taking actions and working together on tasks to achieve shared purposes and objectives. Prosocial is a practical, evidence-based process which offers systematic guidance for rebuilding workplace teams and improving workplace environments to foster collaboration, growth and productivity. In this presentation you will be introduced to the simple and effective Prosocial process.
You will learn about the three pillars of Prosocial Workplace Restoration: 1. Psychological flexibility; 2. Psychological safety; and 3. Workability.
