About the Facilitator Caroline Power, BBA, MBA, M Ed, CTMP, CHRP, CHRL, CPHR, SHRM-SCP, PhD-ABD Caroline Power brings deep expertise in the entire value chain of Talent Management including Agile Talent Management and Talent Intelligence.
She spent the first 10 years of her career in leadership roles at General Electric (GE) Capital. Her last industry role was Senior Vice President of Human Resources in the Canadian banking sector. Power is a former post-secondary Academic Chair in Ontario and in Nova Scotia. She has been an adjunct professor of Human Resources Planning, Human Resources Strategy, Recruitment and Selection, Strategic Human Resources Management, Compensation, Organizational Effectiveness, Business Law, Business Ethics, Change Management, Managing Organizational Change, and Organizational Behaviour, since 2006. In 2020 and in 2019 she was nominated for an RBC Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Royal Bank of Canada. Under her leadership Canadian HR Academy has been a multi-year winner of Canadian HR Reporters’ Readers’ Choice Award for the Training and Development category. Power holds the Chartered Professionals Human Resources (CPHR) designation, the SHRM-SCP designation, the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation, a Master of Education (M Ed) degree in Adult Education from the University of Toronto, an MBA degree in Corporate Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University, the Certified Talent Management Practitioner certification, a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Human Resources Management from York University, Myers Briggs certification from Psychometrics Canada, the post-graduate Executive Development advanced postgraduate diploma from Western University’s Richard Ivey School of Business, and doctoral (PhD) work in Organizational Psychology.
