CPHR CPD: 1.5 CBRM Best Practices Roundtable Join us along with our CEO, Nick Beynon, CPHR at this peer to peer learning event as Natalie Paris, CPHR and Christine Leonard, CPHR lead a sharing of best HR practices in the CBRM region. Our CBRM members are long overdue for some valuable networking, learning, sharing, and refreshments!
This event will be offered both in-person (with recommended COVID-19 safety protocols in place), and virtually for those who are unable to join us in person. Topics will include employer COVID-19 response, disability management, and others. About the Facilitators Natalie Paris, CPHR Based in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Natalie has been with Concentrix Technologies Services for over 15 years supporting company locations across Canada. As the Canadian People Solutions Director, she has purview over 7000 professional associates located in 14 sites across Canada with the help of a team of 17 People Solution Business Partners. Natalie possesses an extensive background in HR Management, including employee recruitment and retention, staff development, conflict resolution, acquisitions, HR transformation initiatives, change management, Training, HR policies and process development, financial management, and legal compliance. Following a personal mantra of, “what is the right thing to do for the employee?”, Natalie feeds her soul through leading the North American Concentrix Mental Wellness initiative. In her role she has facilitated Mental Wellness training across the NA and has internally certified over 100 Concentrix leaders in Mental Wellness First Aid. She is inspired by the impact that this internal training has had on the leaders and the sense of caring, compassion and humility that has been a noticeable shift in how we act, think and relate to each other. Natalie has been a proud member of CPHR of Nova Scotia for over 16 years and has served in the capacity of educational proctor and now Co-Chair on the Cape Breton Professional Development Committee with CPHR Nova Scotia. Christine Leonard, CPHR Christine is a Chartered Human Resources Professional (CPHR) residing in Nova Scotia’s Strait Region. She was introduced to the HR profession in 2005 as a summer student with Georgia Pacific Canada Inc. before spending a year volunteering and travelling abroad. Christine works with DSM Nutritional Products Canada Inc. at their manufacturing site in Mulgrave, Nova Scotia in the HR Advisor role, joining in February 2020. In addition to her experience in Manufacturing, Christine has also worked with First Nations in Nova Scotia and Yukon Territory as HR Manager, and with GoodLife Fitness in Employee Relations and Talent Acquisition. She is certified in Mental Health First Aid, Workplace Diversity & Human Rights, and co-chairs the Cape Breton Professional Development Committee with CPHR Nova Scotia. Nick Beynon, CPHR Nick Beynon, CPHR, SHRM-SCP, has enjoyed a career in Human Resources, winning a few industry awards like Rising Star, HR Award of Excellence and an Innovation award. However, in the interest of finding a new challenge, and something very different, he found an exciting opportunity as our CEO of CPHR Nova Scotia. A role that allowed him to play a more influential role in the HR profession and community. Two years ago, he accepted the position and since then, he has expanded the influence of our Association beyond Nova Scotia into the whole Atlantic region in the creation of CPHR Atlantic. Bringing together the four provinces has increased the quality and quantity of offerings to our region and the collective CPHR brand and designation.
