Join us to learn about the resources available for employers and how they can support you in hiring and retaining foreign talent.

This event is free of charge to employers who have hired, or are thinking about hiring, foreign nationals. 

Note: The same information is presented both days. Please only register for one day as space is limited.

Representatives from Provincial and Federal Departments, as well as local settlement providers, will be on hand to share info and help answer your questions.

IRCC: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada is the federal department that processes temporary and permanent resident applications. IRCC has a team of Outreach Officers that provide assistance to employers navigating how they can hire foreign talent. This team can be accessed at: promotion@cic.gc.ca

 

NS LSI: Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration is the provincial department that provides programs to help newcomers. NS LSI promotes immigration and supports newcomers and population growth throughout the province. This department also has a team of employees that are able to assist employers navigating the provincial immigration pathways and can be accessed at: immigration@novascotia.ca

 

YREACH: YMCA’s Recognizing Enhancing Aligning Community Horizons is a program that provides information, orientation and settlement support to immigrants and some temporary foreign workers who are new to communities across the province of Nova Scotia. YREACH has a team of employees throughout Nova Scotia including Digby and Yarmouth. This team can be accessed at: yis@halifax.ymca.ca
