Session Topic

While many of us may find ourselves engaged in mentorship, it is not always a simple task to undertake. It requires dedication from both the mentee and the mentor, and a commitment to open communication, mutual respect, and continuous learning. Mentorship can be a truly effective learning tool for both parties when you are willing to invest time and effort into building a collaborative relationship focused on growth and development. 
 
To get our mentees and mentors started for this year’s mentorship program, CPHR Nova Scotia is offering a 90-minute interactive workshop led by Addy Smith from PowerUp Leadership, where pairs will start to build the skills and tools necessary to form an effective mentor-mentee relationship. Attendees will engage in dynamic discussions, role-playing scenarios, and group activities aimed at enhancing their relationship-building skills. We will discuss the importance of goal-setting, establishing rapport, and fostering open communication. Through thought-provoking questions and interactive exercises, participants will learn how to initiate and nurture meaningful mentor-protégé relationships.
