Path 4: Senior Requirements

1. Bachelor degree in any field or discipline

You are required to submit proof that you hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited Canadian college or university or the equivalent from a non-Canadian institution. If you received your degree within Canada, you will need to contact the university's registrar and have your transcript sent directly to:

2. 10 years Advisory HR Experience

 Canadian experience is not required

3. Hold or have held a senior role.

 

10 Years HR Experience - Path 4

Experience must be:

  • Minimum of 10 years of advisory experience in Human Resources
  • Demonstrate proven experience and depth of knowledge in a minimum of 8 specific examples (highlighting the respective competency) where you provided HR advice and solutions at the advisory level
  • For a cumulative duration of 10 years 
  • Acquired over the entire career 
  • Hold or have held an senior role
  • A minimum of a university degree*

*Where a candidate does not satisfy the stipulated academic requirement referred to above, CPHR Nova Scotia may waive the requirement upon successful completion by the candidate of the National Knowledge Exam (NKE).

 

 

Validation of Experience (VOE Process)

  • Complete the Validation of Experience Application Form and email to hello@cphrns.ca
  • Purchase $175 non-refundable Application Fee
  • Upon successful completion of the VOE application, a balance of $375 is due and you will be invoiced

 

Checklist

  • Member in good standing
  • Proof of degree has been sent to CPHR Nova Scotia
  • Completed application
  • Resume
  • Make payment for the $175 VOE Application Fee when prompted
