A Compensation (Total Rewards) Strategy is important in organizations to motivate, retain and attract employees. This session will review the steps that should be taken to implement a unique total rewards program for your organization. This session will also address several different types of compensation programs that are typically used today to motivate employees.This session is intended for HR generalists who are interested in learning about the basics of compensation programs.

About the Speaker:
Karen Gordon is a Partner at Rosson & Gordon - Organizational Development Consultants / KWA Partners. She is a strategic Human Resources Professional and has spent several years providing consulting expertise to a variety of clients in both the public and private sectors. Prior to this she spent several years in a senior HR leadership role managing Human Resources for a global organization as their Director of Human Resources.
Karen is a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP), a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and a Certified Benefits Professional (CBP). She also is a past member of the faculty for WorldatWork and has held numerous board positions within the organization both locally, nationally, and internationally.

Payment Terms:
Payment is due by the registration deadline which is January 24th. Payments can be made online by credit card at the time of registration or by cheque. Cheques must be received by the registration deadline by HRANS at 505-1583 Hollis Street, Halifax, NS B3J 1V4. Credit card payments may also be made by phoning the HRANS office by the registration deadline at 435-8823.
Cancellation Policy:
Those who make reservations and do not attend will be required to pay the full registration fee. Cancellations received in writing prior to noon on Friday, January 20, 2012 will not be required to pay the registration fee however will be subject to a $25 plus HST admin fee. Refunds are only available if received in writing prior to noon on Friday, January 20, 2012 and will be subject to the $25 plus HST admin fee. Substitutions are permitted up to the day of the event. Member/non-member rates will be applied.
