Building Strong Union/Management Relations Luncheon

Mark your calendars for a luncheon discussing Building Strong Union/Management Relations.  During this session our guest speaker, Nicole Burchell-Isenor will share and discuss Halifax International Airport Authority's success in this area with particular focus on the following:

• inclusion of the labour relations strategy in strategic plans and annual business plans
• importance of openly communicating the vision of the idea union-management relationship and supporting opportunities for both parties to contribute to the change process
• communication with the union and seeking input before key organizational changes are made
• providing information to the union to ensure a mutual understanding of key business drivers
• merits of providing joint union-management training and development
• and, most importantly, breaking down barriers - know your employees

Nicole Burchell-Isenor has a work history that illustrates strong strategic management skills and a solid background in labour relations and human resources management in Hospitality, Municipal Government, and the Transportation Industry.  With an exceptional understanding of positive employee relations, Nicole maintains a firm focus on collaborative outcomes.  Often characterized for her big picture perspective, Nicole prides herself on being a solutions-driven specialist and has provided training in both the private and public sector on Union Management Relationships, Managing within a Collective Agreement and Performance Management.  Nicole champions fairness and innovation in areas of recruitment, employee recognition and performance management to create work environments that engage and inspire.

IMPORTANT: Registering someone other than yourself?  If you are a member and are registering someone else to attend the event, DO NOT log into the site to register.   If the other person is a member, they must log in under their own member ID and password and register that way.  If the other person is not a member, do not log in, just register them from the public area of the website.  Registrations must be done individually. 

Payment Options: 

Conveniently by credit card (Visa/MC) when you register, or by cheque mailed to HRANS before February 27, 2013. If you register February 27th or later, payment must be by Visa/MC online with registration.

Cancellation Policy: 
Those who make reservations and do not attend will be required to pay the full registration fee.  Cancellations received in writing prior to 12 noon on Friday, February 22, 2013 will receive a full refund. Substitutions are permitted up to the day of the event. Member/non-member rates will be applied to the substitutions.  This cancellation policy applies regardless of date of registration.
