Why Employee Health is a Business Issue - What Managers Need to Know

Join us for this one hour presentation and discussion about managing occupational health issues in the workplace including what occupational health services consist of, and what are the elements of a successful occupational health program.  This session provides time for discussion and Q&A among participants.

About the Speaker

Dr. Donald Haigh, B.Sc., M.Sc., MDCM, FCBON, CIME, Occupational Medical Consultant, PRAXES

Dr. Haigh has spent his career in the full time practice of occupational medicine managing Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene issues in private industry and government.  He is experienced in the areas of auditing, occupational health policy and program design, as well as, practicing clinical occupational health as a component of disability management and health surveillance programs.  During his career he has practiced as a consulting physician in a specialized in-disciplinary rehabilitation teams dealing with patients with complex injuries and prolonged work absence, being a medical advisor for the NS WCB, various government departments and Noranda Mining and Metallurgy.  He is currently the Occupational Health Consultant for the PRAXES Medical Group.

**please note this session does not include lunch.  Participants may bring their own lunch if interested.  Refreshments and light snacks will be provided, if you have any allergies please advise in the RSVP comments area when you register.

Payment Terms

Payment is due online (Visa or MC) with your registration or by cheque received by HRANS the registration deadline which is Thursday, May 9, 2013.  Cheques must be received by the registration deadline (May 9th) by HRANS at 84 Chain Lake Drive, Suite 103, Halifax, NS  B3S 1A2.  Registrations May 5 or later should be done by Visa/MC online.

If paying by credit card (Visa/MC), you will be required to enter the billing address exactly as it appears on the credit card statement or the transaction will be declined.  This is a safety feature for your protection.  Please ensure that you have the address that appears on the credit card statement before attempting to pay online.  

Cancellation Policy

A full refund will be issued for cancellations received in writing prior to Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 12:00 noon. Those who make reservations and do not attend will be required to pay the full fee.  Substitutions (in writing from the registered attendee) are permitted up to the day prior to the event. Member/non-member rates will be applied to the substitutions. This cancellation policy applies regardless of date of registration. Registrations after the cancellation deadline are non-refundable.
