HRANS is pleased to offer the National Knowledge Exam (NKE) classroom preparatory program, as developed by the British Columbia Human Resources Management Association.

This program is designed to help participants consolidate the HR knowledge they already have. More importantly, it helps participants identify where they need to focus additional study in order to successfully complete the multiple-choice NKE.

During the two-day workshop, participants will review and discuss important HR theory for each competency area. Sample exam questions will be analyzed. Participants will have the opportunity to practice in a simulated exam setting and discuss techniques for passing.

Learning Objectives:

• The structure and format of the NKE - components and weightings
• An overview of the body of knowledge covered by the exam
• How to apply the knowledge using sample questions and group activities
• How to design and implement an individualized learning plan

Materials:
 

In addition to the classroom experience, participants will receive a manual of over three hundred pages containing:

• concepts, terminology, principles, legislation and practices from the seven discipline areas covered in the exam,
• over three hundred sample questions, and
• seven glossary exercises they can use to assess their understanding of HR terminology.

Cancellation Policy: 
A full refund, less a $50 cancellation fee (plus tax), will be issued for cancellations received in writing prior to Monday, July 28, 2014 at 12:00 noon. Those who make reservations and do not attend will be required to pay for the full workshop fee. Cancellations received in writing prior to noon on Monday, July 28, 2014 will only be charged the administration fee. Substitutions are permitted up to the day prior to the event. Member/non-member rates will be applied to the substitutions.  This cancellation policy applies regardless of date of registration.  Registrations after the cancellation deadline are non-refundable.

If you wish to participate in the HRANS CHRP NKE Preparatory Program before the November 2014 exam, register for this session early as another one is not planned prior to the November 2014 exam.
