The overhaul introduces higher fees, stricter criteria, and the promise of greater enforcement. This webinar will provide an overview of how the program is being reformed.

About the Presenter Marina L. Sedai has been practicing immigration law since 2005, representing clients in a broad range of immigration and citizenship matters. She is an Executive Member of the Canadian Bar Association’s National Immigration Law Section, and Past-Chair of the CBA BC Immigration Section, previously chairing the section’s committees for Service Canada and the Immigration Appeal Division. Ms. Sedai was also a UBC instructor from 2010-2014 Certificate in Immigration: Laws, Policies and Procedures.

Payment Terms Payment is due by the registration deadline of October 16, 2014. Payments may be made conveniently online by Visa/Mastercard at the time of registration or by cheque received by the registration deadline. Cheques must be received by the registration deadline (October 16) by HRANS at 84 Chain Lake Drive, Suite 103, Halifax, NS B3S 1A2. Registrations October 8th or later must be paid by Visa/MC at time of registration. If paying online by Visa or Mastercard, you must have the billing address exactly as it appears on the credit card statement or the transaction will be declined. This is a security feature for your protection. Cancellation Policy A full refund, less a $25+HST administration fee, will be issued for cancellations received in writing prior to Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 12:00noon. Those who make reservations and do not attend will still be required to pay for the full session fee. Cancellations received by HRANS in writing prior to noon on Thursday, October 9, 2014 will only be charged the administration fee. Substitutions are permitted if received by October 23 at 12 noon (for substitutions, the registrant must advise our office of their replacement in writing by 12 noon on October 23rd including the full name, email and phone number of the substitution). Member/non-member rates will be applied to the substitutions. This cancellation policy applies regardless of date of registration. Registrations after the cancellation deadline are non-refundable.
