HRANS is pleased to partner with BC HRMA on this learning opportunity.

CHRP CPD Hours: 1.5

When an individual is experiencing high levels of change, their capacity to adapt can rapidly be depleted.  Resilience and the ability to remain productive during turbulence helps people achieve better outcomes for themselves and their organizations.

As HR Professionals, it's often our role to support others and help people achieve better outcomes for themselves and the organization -- and at the same time, manage our own ability to be resilient!  This webinar explains resilience and introduces a set of seven "change muscles" that help individuals move through change.

Learning Objectives

  • Define resilience and its workplace application
  • Recognize the resilience characteristics and your own natural pattern of how you respond to disruptive change
  • Develop a simple skill to enhance your own resilience
  • Develop and action plan to build your own resilience

About the Presenters
Gregg Brown, is a captivating speaker, accomplished facilitator and expert in the fields of leadership, change, teamwork, and adult learning.  He has spoken hundreds of times at conferences, seminars, retreats, and for Fortune 500 clients.  Gregg was in the top 3 speakers for 4 years running at Project World Conference and the #1 Speaker on Leadership and Change.  His depth of experience began many years ago, as he was part of the ground breaking team that opened the first wave of Starbucks stores in Canada.  His ability to engage teams, drive change, and customer service earned him his first award.  Gregg then felt he had to find deeper meaning in his work and began to reach life skills to prisoners, which is interesting enough, where he also did his first speech to over 500 inmates and their families!  At the same time he taught life skills to people that were living on the street and recovering from addictions always fine-tuning his approach to behaviour change.  He transitioned into leading education, training and organizational change initiatives in large health care organizations -- as well as consulting with leaders and executives on individual behaviour change.  He pursued a Masters Degree from the University of Leicester in the UK with a focus on organizational psychology, leadership, and performance.  As his career progressed, he landed at TidalShift and leads the international award-winning team that focuses on developing resilient and change-ready organizations.

Lynda Monk is a senior facilitator and consultant with TidalShift.  Lynda has over twenty years of experience working and teaching in the areas of change management, leadership, resiliency, stress management, burnout prevention, and organizational health.  She has worked in a variety of sectors including healthcare, social services, education, criminal justice, not-for-profit, and government.  Lynda has authored and co-authored over 25 training programs and has trained thousands of professionals in various regions across Canada.  She consistently facilitates high quality learning experiences that are known to engage participants in meaningful reflection aimed at gaining knowledge, increasing skills, and cultivating motivation for well-being, success, and excellence.
