About the Facilitator
Brad Proctor, Partner, McInnes Cooper
Brad Proctor is the leader of the labour and employment business unit based out of the Halifax, NS office. Brad practices management labour and employment law with an emphasis on the following core areas: occupational health and safety, workers' compensation, human rights and workplace accommodations, labour relations and collective bargaining, wrongful dismissal and other employment-related claims, and workplace privacy issues. Brad advises clients to take a proactive approach to management labour and employment relations through the formulation and implementation of employment contracts, workplace policies as well as the creation of training programs for managers and supervisors with respect to performance management, workplace accommodations, harassment prevention, and health and safety.
Brad appears regularly before labour arbitrators, human rights tribunals, Labour Boards, Workers' Compensation Tribunals as well as various levels of court throughout the Atlantic Canadian provinces. Brad has volunteered his time with various community groups over the years and is currently a Director of Safety Services Nova Scotia.
Brad was also recently named one of 2015's Lexpert Rising Stars: Leading Lawyers under 40. This accomplishment recognizes Brad's successful career representing clients in numerous court, administrative tribunal and arbitration decisions. He has gained a national reputation for his experience in occupational health and safety and workers' compensation counsel.

The registration deadline is extended to Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at 12:00 pm. Please note that registrations are not possible after online registration has closed. Registration cannot be purchased at the door.
Payment Terms
Payment is due by the registration deadline or within 30 days of your registration (whichever is earlier). Payments may be made conveniently online at time of registration by Visa/Mastercard or by cheque received by the registration deadline. Cheques must be received by the registration deadline (Feb 23) by HRANS at 84 Chain Lake Drive, Suite 103, Halifax, NS B3S 1A2. Registrations February 20th or later must be paid online at time of registration.
If paying online by Visa or Mastercard, you must have the billing address exactly as it appears on the credit card statement or the transaction will be declined. This is a security feature for your protection.
Cancellation Policy
A full refund, less a $30+HST processing fee, will be issued for cancellations received in writing prior to Tuesday, February 16th at 12:00noon. Those who make reservations and do not attend will be required to pay for the full session fee. Cancellations received in writing prior to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 will only be charged the processing fee. Substitutions are permitted up to the business day before the event (for substitutions, the registrant must advise our office of their replacement in writing by 12 noon on March 7). Member/non-member rates will be applied to the substitutions. This cancellation policy applies regardless of date of registration. Registrations after the cancellation deadline are non-refundable.
