CHRP CPD Hours: 2.0
HR Competency: Health, Wellness, and Safe Workplace
We are pleased to partner with NSGEU to bring our members their nationally recognized learning on Bully-Free Workplaces.
Bullying is a form of violence in the workplace. Everyone has a responsibility to stop it and work towards a bully-free workplace. Workplace bullying is unwanted and unreasonable behaviour directed toward an individual or group of workers that creates a risk to health and safety. Workplace bullying can also affect an organization through reduced productivity, increased staff turnover, and legal costs.
Workplace bullying can be subtle and hidden or obvious. Not all conflict situations in the workplace constitute bullying or harassment. It is important to recognize the difference.
This two-hour awareness session will provide a definition and basic information to explore the effects of workplace bullying on the individual, co-workers, family, and the workplace; and introduces interventions.
About the Facilitator
The NSGEU has been recognized nationally and internationally for its leadership role in developing and implementing facilitated programs to address bullying and psychological health in the workplace.
