HR Competency: Strategy
This webinar will define sustainability as social and environmental sustainability and provide an overview of trends and drivers and the business case for sustainability. It will summarize the role of the HR professional in embedding sustainability into the employee experience and life cycle from recruitment and onboarding to training and professional leadership and competency development and performance management, talent retention and succession planning. A detailed case study of the best practices in sustainable human resource management will be profiled. Polling and the webinar chat function will be used throughout the session to engage participants and a question and answer period will be included.

About the Presenters
Coro Strandberg is an influential sustainability strategist and thought leader. She works with businesses, governments and industry associations to create strategies and pursue business models to address social and environmental risks and opportunities that propel society toward a sustainable future.
Bernie Mitchell, Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Work Place Services, is a Certified chartered director as well as a CHRL. She is active in her community as board chair of Community Living Guelph and a board member of St. Joseph's Health Centre.
Chad Park is the Executive Director of The Natural Step Canada and is the Director of the Energy Futures Lab. He is a founding member of The Natural Step Canada team and has been with The Natural Step since 2002. He holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management and Policy from the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics at Lund University in Sweden, where he was a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. He also holds a bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta.

Payment Terms
Payment is due within 30 days of registration or by the registration deadline of September 19, 2016 (whichever is earlier). Payments may be made conveniently online by Visa/Mastercard at the time of registration or by cheque received by the registration deadline. Cheques must be received within 30 days of registration or by September 19th (whichever is earlier) by HRANS at 84 Chain Lake Drive, Suite 103, Halifax, NS B3S 1A2. Registrations September 6th or later must be paid by Visa/MC at time of registration.
If paying online by Visa or Mastercard, you must have the billing address exactly as it appears on the credit card statement or the transaction will be declined. This is a security feature for your protection.
Cancellation Policy
A full refund, less a $30+HST processing fee, will be issued for cancellations received in writing prior to Monday, September 12, 2016 at 12:00noon. Those who make reservations and do not attend will still be required to pay for the full session fee. Cancellations received by HRANS in writing prior to noon on Monday, September 12, 2016 will only be charged the processing fee. Substitutions are permitted if received by September 12th at 12 noon (for substitutions, the registrant must advise our office of their replacement in writing by 12 noon on September 12th including the full name, email and phone number of the substitution). Member/non-member rates will be applied to the substitutions. This cancellation policy applies regardless of date of registration. Registrations after the cancellation deadline are non-refundable.
