HR Competency: Health, Wellness, and Safe Workplace
Join your colleagues for the HRANS Fall Dinner.
The Coping Crisis
Progressive employers are now adopting a philosophy of shared accountability among employers and employees - working together towards a psychologically safe workplace.
During this session, Dr. Bill Howatt will discuss The Coping Crisis. He will explore the question of whether we face a mental health crisis, or a coping crisis, and how employees get into a coping crisis. Bill will also discuss the pathways out of a coping crisis, with a focus on action plans for both the employer and the employee.
In particular, this session will include the following elements:
- What are coping skills and why they matter
- Why coping skills are a lead indicator for predicting health and engagement
- What employees can do to evolve their coping skills
- How employers can create shared accountability and action plans.
