 Session Topic

Do you ever get the sense that there is something “off” in your work environment, but you can’t quite put your finger on it? You may have this sense even though there are no complaints or grievances in your work area. Don’t dismiss this sense, you could be on to something as sometimes inappropriate workplace behaviours go “underground” and are not reported which can lead to the creation of a toxic work environment. This is an especially problematic issue for employers given that employers are responsible for ensuring that they create a psychologically safe work environment for their employees. So, what can you do?

Conducting a workplace assessment is an effective method to uncover problem areas in the work environment. Importantly, workplace assessments aim to fix the problems that are identified and thereby improving the work environment.

This exclusive, members only workshop is designed to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct effective workplace assessments that will positively impact the psychological well-being of employees.

Learning Objectives

Participants will learn the following:

  • To understand the purpose and importance of workplace assessments.
  • To identify the “red flags” which may make a workplace assessment necessary.
  • To create employee surveys and structured interviews to obtain critical employee feedback.
  • To break down and understand the employee feedback.
  • To develop recommendations outlining solutions to the workplace issues identified.
  • To consider how to report the findings of the workplace assessment.

This program will include interactive discussions with the participants as well as practical exercises and other hands-on activities aimed to provide the participants with the confidence to conduct effective workplace assessments.
