Employer Breakfast Speaker Series 2019
Workplace Cultures of Inclusion Part A
This session is about recognizing our own inherent expectations about how to work, and how to behave with each other regardless of national origin, is key to understanding our own capacity to make a profound and enduring change in our workplaces. This session uses an interactive activity to demonstrate what respect “looks like” behaviorally in an intercultural setting. Expect to realize your role in engaging with your own workplace culture and how intuitive and inclusive it can be.
Speaker: Paul Pickering is the coordinator of the workplace culture program at Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS). Paul has 20 years of experience helping employers and individuals to build their cultural competence, develop diversity and inclusion policies, and improve organizational culture.
