Leadership Essentials Certificate Program

CPHR has partnered with ACHIEVE Centre for Leadership to offer the Leadership Essentials Certificate Program to our members.

Description

Whether you have aspiring, new, or experienced managers, it’s important to always look for ways to develop leadership skills. This program teaches how to create happier, healthier, more motivated teams where everyone feels supported. In just eight two-hour sessions, participants will learn the skills needed to effectively lead their team and your organization toward achieving its mission. One of our experienced facilitators will teach the core leadership competencies and challenge participants to expand on what they learn through group discussions and interactive activities. Upon completion of the program, participants can also schedule up to three coaching sessions with the facilitator. This is an opportunity to gain valuable insights on how to apply what they’ve learned to your workplace. The facilitator can also help figure out the next steps in your leadership development.

Program Goals and Outcomes

The desired outcomes of this project include:

  • Understand how great leaders think and what they do
  • Assess their own leadership style and articulate their vision of leadership
  • Acquire and apply strategies that create a healthy workplace culture
  • Effectively manage, supervise, and support employees in an effort to optimize their productivity and support their well-being
  • Implement practical skills and strategies that build team cohesion, capacity, and synergy
  • Utilize an adaptable coaching model for assisting employees to address unhealthy habits, develop skills, and resolve conflicts
  • Use varied approaches and strategies for effectively addressing difficult behaviours and navigating challenging conversations they will face in their leadership role
  • Create a personalized plan to support ongoing leadership development
