The Association of Industry Sector Councils (AISC) is proud to launch HR Forward, a webinar series designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Nova Scotia. This series addresses key human resource challenges, offering practical solutions to attract, retain, and develop skilled talent in today’s competitive labour market.

Hosted bi-monthly, these webinars are thoughtfully tailored to meet the diverse needs of SMEs across our 14 Industry Sectors, providing actionable insights and strategies to empower businesses at every stage of human resource development.

CPHR Nova Scotia is thrilled to partner with AISC on this fantastic series. Featuring two streams, Novice and Experienced, there are webinars for everyone at any stage in their HR career.

 

This session will guide participants through the essential elements of creating and implementing effective HR policies. Learn how to build a solid HR framework, ensure compliance with labor laws, and design policies that align with your organization’s goals and values.

 

About the Facilitator

Amanda Dominix-Boucher, CPHR

Amanda is a senior consultant within MNP’s Consulting Service team in Truro, NS. She holds an MBA with a focus on Management Consulting and a Certificate of Human Resource Management from Saint Mary’s University. She also earned a BBA in Management, graduating with distinction from Mount Saint Vincent University, and a BA in Political Science with a minor in Business, along with a Certificate in Public Administration from Cape Breton University. 

Amanda is a seasoned organizational development and human resources professional with over 15 years of diverse experience across multiple industries, including property valuation, facility management, technology solutions, and global relocation services. She excels in recruitment, training, performance management, and HR policy development, consistently driving organizational success through strategic HR initiatives and process improvements.

Her expertise includes full recruitment cycle management, payroll, developing and implementing performance management systems, creating onboarding and training programs, and developing processes and documentation. Amanda has extensive experience writing and implementing HR policies for both federally and provincially regulated employers, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and aligning policies with organizational goals. 

Amanda also has significant experience gathering and analyzing data for reports, conducting internal quality audits, and enhancing operational efficiency. 

Amanda’s extensive experience, commitment to continuous improvement, and passion for developing talent have allowed her to work with both private sector organizations and First Nations to enhance their human resources and organizational development functions.
