Brad will reference recent provincial and federal cases that are affecting the practice of Human Resources in Nova Scotia.

About the Speaker: 

Brad Proctor is a Partner in McInnes Cooper's Halifax, Nova Scotia office. He practices management labour and employment law with an emphasis on Occupational Health and Safety, Worker's Compensation, Human Rights and Workplace Accommodations, Labour Relations and Collective Bargaining, Wrongful Dismissal and other Employment-related claims, and Workplace Privacy Issues.

Brad appears regularly before labour arbitrators and tribunals including the Nova Scotia Labour Standards Tribunal, Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board, Workers Compensation Appeals Tribunal as well as various levels of court in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

Aside from practicing labour and employment law, Brad is also McInnes Cooper's Manager of Recruitment and Development. In this capacity Brad is the partner responsible for overseeing various aspect of human resource management for McInnes Cooper lawyers including the recruitment of lawyers into the firms seven offices. Brad has volunteered his time with various community groups over the years and is currently a Director of Safety Services Nova Scotia.
