About the Speaker
Kim West
Kim West is a partner in NATIONAL Public Relations
Ltd., the largest Canadian public relations firm with offices in St. John’s,
Halifax, Saint John, Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver,
Victoria, New York and London UK.
Kim has more than 20 years of experience in
marketing communications, reputation management, and media, government and
stakeholder relations. She leads the region’s employment and labour
practice, with experience in both union and non-union environments. She
is particularly active in the resource and energy sectors, helpingcompanies
achieve the social license to operate while being able to compete globally and
grow their businesses.
Kim is a director of the Halifax Grammar School,
serves on the Board of Governors of St. F.X. University, and is a member of the
International Women’s Forum-Atlantic Chapter. She is a past director of
many other community and business associations, including the IWK Health Centre
and CAA Maritimes and a past chair of the board of the Halifax Chamber of
Commerce.
Kim is certified by the U.S.-based Institute for Crisis Management and
the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2), is an accredited
member of the Canadian Public Relations Society, and has been inducted into the
CPRS-Canadian College of Fellows.

Payment Terms
Payment is due by the registration deadline, which is Thursday, January 10, 2013. Payments can be made online by credit card (Visa/MC) at the time of registration or by cheque. Cheques must be received by the registration deadline by HRANS at 84 Chain Lake Drive, Suite 103, Halifax, NS B3S 1A2.
Cancellation Policy
To those who make reservations and do not attend will be required to pay the full registration fee. Cancellations received in writing prior to noon on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 will not be required to pay the registration fee. Refunds are only available if received in writing prior to noon on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Substitutions are permitted up to the day of the event. Member/non-member rates will be applied. This cancellation policy applies regardless of your date of registration.
