Join authors Eloise Gratton and Lyndsay Wasser, partners at McMillan LLP, for an in-depth look at the privacy issues that can arise in the workplace and how to deal with them.  Over the course of the webinar, Eloise Gratton and Lyndsay Wasser will address the various privacy issues that employers commonly face, and provide a practical guide to private-sector privacy and data protection laws for human resources professionals, managers, and others who are responsible for managing personal information of employees or ensuring that the organization's employees comply with applicable privacy laws.  Attendees will be able to "ask the experts" by posing live questions respecting specific workplace privacy issues throughout the webinar.

  • Learn about key principles under Canadian privacy laws as they apply to workplace privacy;
  • Obtain a basic understanding of the International privacy framework and the legal requirements pertaining to cross-boarder data transfers;

  • Learn about privacy issues pertaining to the use of websites and online marketing to promote business and anti-spam requirements;
  • Learn about how to develop and administer privacy policies, procedures, training and other elements of a comprehensive privacy infrastructure;
  • Learn about statutory changes as well as emerging trends in the interconnected areas of privacy and data protection.
