CHRP Recertification Points: 2.0 Retirement is a time of significant personal change. For some, retirement is a welcome and none to soon anticipated event. For others it takes significant thinking and readiness to make the leap. And, there's a wealth of practical pre-retirement information to help ready employees' thinking. But how ready are we to help employees with the psychological impact that can come with retirement or transitioning from full time employment? Through this session you will have the opportunity to think about how employers can implement strategies that go beyond traditional pre-retirement planning and education. Come and join us to hear stories and strategies about the head and heart of retirement. About the Facilitator Gail Boone, CHRP - As Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Gail specializes in executive coaching, strategic people services, leadership and organizational development. She offers 34 years experience mostly in the health and insurance sectors and has held executive, operational and frontline, educational and union executive roles. Gail taught Human Resources in Dalhousie's School Health Administration Master's Program for 14 years and as a former Director of Human Resources, she is a sought after speaker and educator in the area of Strategic Human Resources.
Gail has a Bachelor of Nursing and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Dalhousie University, a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University, and is certified as a Coach in the LEADS Health Leadership Capability Framework. She is a member of the Human Resources Association of Nova Scotia's Board of Directors and Chair of the Accreditation Committee. Those who make reservations and do not attend will be required to pay for the full session fee. Substitutions are permitted up to the business day before the event (for substitutions, the registrant must advise our office of their replacement in writing by 12 noon on April 8th). Member/non-member rates will be applied to the substitutions. This cancellation policy applies regardless of date of registration.
