A well-constructed Respectful Workplace Policy goes beyond satisfying legal compliance relative to harassment and bullying. Learn how to craft a policy that will formulate an organizational commitment to a respectful workplace culture by defining and clearly outlining behavioural expectations and structuring user friendly complaint processes to encourage timely and effective complaint resolution.

Respectful Workplace Policy - Part 2 - June 6, 2014
A respectful workplace policy is like an insurance policy: you have it in case you need it, but hope you never do. Your policy should be more than a "paper strategy": it should provide a foundation for behavioural accountability by promoting awareness, education, dialogue, and skill building. In this webinar, Erica will share practical strategies and tips to translate your policy into respectful workplace practices. Learning Objectives - Know how to identify "behaviourial hazards" that can result in Bill 14 compensation complaints.

About the Presenter Erica Pinsky, M Sc, CHRP, is in the Respect Business. As a speaker, trainer, author, and consultant, she ignites conversations that build respect at work. She is the corporate Ombudsperson for the Vancouver Whitecaps FC and a faculty member at the Center for Conflict Resolution at the Justice Institute of BC. Her highly acclaimed book, "Road to Respect: Path to Profit" is filled with engaging stories, powerful insights, and concrete strategies on how to achieve sustainable success in today's challenging and diverse business climate. A professional member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers, Erica was a Top Ten finalist in North America's Next Greatest Speaker contest 2012.
Erica has a solid track record of policy development, alignment of organizational practices, and motivation of leaders and teams. Prior to starting her consulting practice in 1998, Erica acted as the corporate harassment and conflict specialist at Canadian Airlines International. This experience, combined with her work as a Labour Relations practitioner, provides her with the expertise to successfully facilitate multiparty disputes, investigate and mediate complaints, and handle emotionally charged conflict situations.
Erica is a regular contributor to respectfulworkplace.com. She has been featured on CBC, Fanny Kiefer and Urban Rush TV, in HRIQ, Business in Vancouver, BC Business Magazine, the Globe and Mail, The Economic Times of India, Right Course, and Canadian Retailer. IMPORTANT: Registering someone other than yourself? If you are a member and are registering someone else to attend the event, DO NOT log into the site to register. Payment is due by the registration deadline of May 16, 2014. Payments may be made conveniently online by Visa/Mastercard at the time of registration or by cheque received by the registration deadline. Cheques must be received by the registration deadline (May 16) by HRANS at 84 Chain Lake Drive, Suite 103, Halifax, NS B3S 1A2. Registrations May 10th or later must be paid by Visa/MC at time of registration. If paying online by Visa or Mastercard, you must have the billing address exactly as it appears on the credit card statement or the transaction will be declined. This is a security feature for your protection. Cancellation Policy A full refund, less a $25+HST administration fee, will be issued for cancellations received in writing prior to Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 12:00noon. Those who make reservations and do not attend will still be required to pay for the full session fee. Cancellations received by HRANS in writing prior to noon on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 will only be charged the administration fee. Substitutions are permitted if received by May 16 at 12 noon (for substitutions, the registrant must advise our office of their replacement in writing by 12 noon on May 16th including the full name, email and phone number of the substitution). Member/non-member rates will be applied to the substitutions. This cancellation policy applies regardless of date of registration. Registrations after the cancellation deadline are non-refundable.
