HR Competency: Workforce Planning & Talent Management / Labour and Employee Relations

Did you know that employers can be in violation of compliance for things that may seem simple, such as giving a foreign worker a pay increase or changing a foreign worker's duties?

Join us for this interactive session on employer compliance to learn what employers need to know about hiring foreign workers.

This session will cover:

  • An update on recent changes to the Temporary Foreign Worker Program and the International Mobility Program
  • Employer Compliance concerns related to Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)-based work permit applications
  • The new employer compliance regime for LMIA-exempt work permit holders
  • Transitioning foreign workers to permanent residents
