HRANS is pleased to be a promotional partner with Vision Coaching Inc. to bring this workshop to our members.
Building Coaching Capacity Workshop
Everything you've always wanted to know about Leadership Coaching...but didn't know who to ask!
This workshop is designed specifically for HR professionals who are interested in learning about the fastest growing discipline in businesses and organizations around the world - Coaching.
HR professionals are often the entry point whereby coaching is introduced into organizations and so it is critically important that we have a clear, shared understanding of what coaching is and the potential it holds.
Because it is a relatively new addition to many leadership toolboxes, we often have a role, a critical role, in educating about Coaching. We also need to be able to effectively articulate how it could look and have an impact in our respective organizations.
Our belief is that one of the best ways to understand what coaching is and what it is not, is to experience it first-hand. This 3 hour workshop is designed to be highly interactive and will provide information AND the opportunity for participants
to try it and experiment with it!
This workshop is also a great introduction to coaching for people who may be interested in participating in the Royal Roads University Coach Training program being held this Spring at Dalhousie University.
This 'Coach-Approach' (using Appreciative Inquiry) Workshop will:
- Explore what coaching is...and is not
- Create clarity on how the business community is embracing coaching in the development of leaders
- Educate participants on the pros and cons of the '3 Organizational Coaching Levers'
- Teach two 'Core Coaching Skill' to implement in the workplace
- Encourage participants in gaining insights into how HR professionals can use coaching to support their respective organizations
- Ensure participants leave with an Action Plan on how they will enhance coaching skills in their organization post-workshop
Learning Outcomes
- Clear understanding of how coaching is defined in accordance with the International Coach Federation definition
- Understanding the role and opportunity for HR professionals
- To educate and introduce organizations to coaching
- Ability to immediately apply skill based on learning as it relates to two "core coaching skills"
